Expedia Group Brand Development

Expedia’s Internal Comms Team was struggling to support the multiple teams that needed their creative & branding help.

They needed help defining the global visual brand, and at the same time, they could not ignore the needs of the broader organization such as Templates, Icon Libraries, Digital Communications, and much more.

Over the span of 2+ years, our founder, Nathanael Clanton, led a team of creatives at Aquent Studios to support and spearhead the massive ongoing branding effort of one of the world’s largest travel platforms. He was often personally responsible for developing communications for the executive leadership and CEO.

Under his leadership, the team more than doubled the contracted work the agency received from Expedia Group.

Process

The design team partnered with Expedia and developed an ‘agency on demand’ model (and later as an agency of choice) to support their immediate needs and all other potential work that impeded their ability to focus on brand development.

Results

The ongoing partnership and work continued to grow. We’ve supported the Internal Comms Team (and a growling list of other divisions) on everything from brand guideline development, icon library illustrations, site map design, video production & editing, email templates, web design and communications from the CEO level all the way to individual departments.
